Favourite Room for Today

Hi there, hope your Wednesday is going well. I didn't get to post last night as I had some work to do here. My brother came for a visit, so I got him to help me lay a new floor in the kitchen and dining. So I'm now the proud owner of $250.00 worth of black and white checkered lino from Bunnings!! I don't know if I should be sharing that news with my clients - they might think I'm crazy. I love it though - it's a little bit retro, a little bit classic, a little bit graphic and a little bit groovy!. Looks awesome with my black dining table and white chairs too. I'm very happy!!

Just a quick post tonight too - I must look for some artwork for another client. So here's an image that always catches my eye. I wonder if catches your eye too? Have a great night x

Divine Dining

Happy Monday everyone, hope you all  had a lovely weekend!! I have spent the morning having my nails painted at pre-school for mothers day, making macoroni necklaces and  having my portrait painted by my 4 year old daughter. What a lovely way to spend a morning.

I came across this adorable dining room on House of Turquoise the other night. It's so fresh and inviting!! The colours of the wallpaper and the tufted backing in the china cabinet are repeated in the Thonet Chairs. I love it!! Photographed by Camila Lindqvist

Bachelor Pad

Hi everyone, I have been out this afternoon taking photographs of a clients Bachelor Pad I decorated. Filipe was in a hurry to furnish his apartment and basically had nothing to put in it!! So over the Easter Weekend I put together a furniture plan selecting everything from Ikea to go in there. We spent a big day out shopping and then 4 weeks later (after many hours putting together flat packs and cursing me!! ha ha), here is the end result. Simple, modern - but pretty stylish I think!!

Hello there, hope you all have a great weekend. Here's a beautiful bedroom I'm loving right now. The cranberry coloured drapes are just divine and beautifully set off the Suzani bed cover. I love the simplicity of the classic headboard and the painted white floors. It all works together so well.

Hello there, I'm trying to type this post with my pug on my knee - which normally wouldn't be so bad except that he now has a bucket on his head!! $175.00 at the vets for a skin irritation and now he looks like a walking satelite dish. Poor wee love.

Anyway - also watching one of my taped 'Million Dollar Decorators' shows and blogging at the same time. I wish there were more hours in the day!! Tonight's post is just a collection of beautiful living rooms that really appeal to me today. What do you think of them? Do you have a favourite?

Suzanne Kasler

Hello there, I thought I would share a post on Suzanne Kasler's own home tonight. She is another one of my favourite American Designer's. This is her new home in Atlanta, a gorgeous Regency Mansion. I love the symmetry in this home - her gorgeous palette of soothing, easy colours and the way she mixes antiques with fleamarket vintage finds. Hope you like it
