Marika Meyer

Hello, I have just come across Marika Meyer on The Lennoxx Blog tonight. This is a stunningly gorgeous room she designed for the DC 2012 Showhouse. The palette is soft and airy with a real spring vibe. She uses lots of nature references in this design, such as the framed insects, the pony stool, the puffer fish and even the octopus tea cups.

Check it out, and make sure you take a look through her website too for more beautiful designs.

Sneak Peek

Hi all, here's a little "sneak peek" of a lounge room I have been working on. We laid out the rug today and I couldn't resist sharing some photos. I get so excited as it all starts coming together. We are just waiting on all the artworks to come in, a few more cushions and some styling and it's all done!!

Loving this Library

Hi ya, I just came across this gorgeous library on The Zhush

I love the different chairs, all the colour and that lovely casual feel. I could really see myself enjoying some quiet "me time" here.

What do you think?

Hampton's Show house - Entry Hall

Hello everyone, I hope your having a nice weekend. I'm just pouring through my huge file of interiors photos and came across this entry hall. It is in the latest Hampton's Show House. Designed by Kentucky Designer Lee W Robinson, it has a mix of subtle equine references and seaside cool.

I'm loving the fresh colour scheme of aqua and neutrals with orange highlights. The horizontal striped wallpaper keeps it lighthearted and emphasizes the grand scale of the room.

Mixing it Up

Hi, it has been the most gorgeous day in Sydney. A lovely little taste of spring to make us feel good. I even hung all the white sheets on the line to let them soak up the sun.

I came across this fabulous home on Desire to Inspire's Blog. I love the mix of that really traditional architecture teamed with the iconic mid century furniture. I'm also loving the artwork, the oversize black and white photos really add that wow factor.

Styling

Hi everyone, Happy Monday!!

I hope you all had a great weekend. It was so nice yesterday afternoon, we all spent some time in the garden. I took 'Better Homes and Gardens' advice and gave the plants a feed and actually watered them. So hope to see some lovely spring growth soon.

Styling is the final part of the interior design process. It's amazing how important this actually is to give your room it's wow factor and pull it all together. Coloured cushions, piles of books, vases, flowers and knick knacks all do thier part to create a beautiful room.

Check out these great styling close ups with photos from Belle Maison's Blog

Hamptons Show House - again

Hi all, here are some more photos of the stunning dining room in the Hamptons Show House. Designed by Mabley Handler Interior Design, the initial inspiration for the room came from the Jonathan Adler fabric on the curtains. You can see how all those beautiful blues are pulled from the fabrics and used to great effect. I love it!!

Oatley Classical Elegance

Hi there, thought I should share these photos of Freda and Tim's lovely loungeroom in Oatley. I just adore this room. The colours are so much better in real life too - with the muted blues and the gorgeous peacock colour of the otttoman. I'm afraid my Iphone photos don't really do it justice. Anyway check out the photos and see what you think.
