Barcelona Villa

Happy Sundy everyone, a much quieter day here today. I didn't even attempt to take the three little horrors out!! I just came across this beautiful Barcelona Villa on Desire to Inspire's blog tonight. Wow it is gorgeous!! I would so love to live here - it would be a holiday everyday. Hence I just had to share it with you all. It was photographed by Jordi Canosa who I have just discovered. You must check his website for more fabulous photos.

Casual Dining Rooms

Good evening, I'm sitting here watching The Block and pondering what to write about today. I guess writing is not my strong point in my blogs. Anyway, I'm feeling pretty happy with myself today. I took all three kids out (nightmare) to Dick Smith to purchase a new home theatre. We managed to get it done without too much mishap. Only a scraped knee on the way out - melted chocolate all over Hamish and a big scrap between Hamish and Kamryn because he took her water bottle out of the fridge. Oh joy!! Cranked a bit of Neil Diamond in the car on the way out and they all shut up!!

Anyway I managed to dismantle the old one and install the new one all by myself with no mishap, and it works!! Now I can make the kids listen to Neil Diamond at home too. ha ha.

Here's some lovely casual dining rooms to share with you this evening. What makes them casual as opposed to formal? Hmmm, mismatched chairs, small pendants, retro pendants, timber benches, casual artwork - it's a whole lot of things. Of course the actual room itself has a lot to do with it. Open plan dining, kitchen and living makes for a more casual feel too.

Barrie Benson

Hi all, here are some lovely rooms from Barrie Benson Design to share with you today. He is an American Designer, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I love the way he uses colour and graphic pattern in his rooms. Pairing antiques with really modern pieces too, make for interesting spaces that feel lived in and real. What do you think? Hi, what a horrid day in Sydney today. The big wet!! It was such a relief to get home this afternoon and get out of the weather. I hope everyone got home safe and sound. Just time for a quick post tonight of a room that caught my eye today. I love the colours in this image, the blue green and lime of the flower stems are just divine together. It's a divine room with lovely curves in the sofa and the unexpected little pop of blue on the wall that just makes it!! Do you like it?

Rooms I'm Loving Today

I'm loving these really traditional rooms juxtaposed with minimal furniture. For someone who is not a fan of minamilism this just might do it for me. I could almost cope if the architecture was this ornate and gorgeous!! What do you think? Do you like this look?

In a Pink Fit

Hello, Sunday evening watching the Logies in between searching the net for inspiration tonight. I wish I could just sit and watch TV and do nothing. I'm always trying to do two or three things at the same time though - just can't help it. Anyway tonight's post features Pink!!
